Erik was invited to play in a Pro Am at a PGA Champions tour event in Hickory, NC last week.
(Pro Am - a day before a big tournament a Professional plays a round with an Amateur - for charity)The Champions Tour has the guys like Nick Price, Hale Irwin, Greg Norman, Craig Stadler etc. on it. Erik played with a really nice guy from California named Pat Laverty - he just joined the tour recently. Although he didn't play a round with a big name, Erik found himself on the driving range and practice greens with a few of them.
In the first picture he is putting with Curtis Strange (Erik in the blue). OK, so he may not have been putting WITH him, but he was close.
The tournament was a shotgun start and as soon as they headed out to their first tee box it started to rain.
