Shrek the Third

We took the boys to see Shrek the third today. I really think they have inherited their Daddy's love of movies. They were so good through the entire movie. Jake was sitting by me and I couldn't help but stare at him. He looked like such a big boy with his popcorn and cup of water (a big boy cup - without a lid) in the cup holder. After the movie we took our first trip to 'Build A Bear' to get them a limited edition Shrek doll. They were over the top excited! I had the BEST day seeing all of the happiness and joy the boys were experiencing!

Congratulations Miss Emily!

On Saturday we went to see our Niece Emily receive her First Communion. (OK, so I must admit that she's not actually my niece, but she calls me 'Aunt Anita' and calls Erik 'Uncle Erik' and her Mommy is the closest thing to having a sister that I can imagine - Emily's Daddy is actually my Mom's youngest brother. Anyway, now that I've cleared that up.......)

In the first picture Emily is the cuteie patootie on the right. The second picture: Ben, Jake, Rachel, Emily, Abby and Sophia. The third: Lydia, Father Michael (man is he Tall!), Pete, Rachel, Sarah and Emily - I have to say that I LOVE this family. The third is us with our stubborn boys who refuse to smile.

Congratulations Emily! We our so glad we were able to spend your special day with you.

First Communion Cont.

We went to White Fence Farm for Emily's First Communion Celebration. Not only did we have a yummy dinner, we met a horse named Samson, and got to hang out in the petting zoo with sheep and pigs and other smelly animals. All of the kids had a great time. Jake was all about putting his hand out to feed the animals - Ben was brave when he put his hand out, but would yank it back right before they were able to take a bite - he's such a tease!

Mother's Day

We had a super nice day. I woke up to a Grande 3 pump vanilla nonfat latte - YUM! We took a bike ride and went to a park to swing, slide and play with the boys' new golf set. We then went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory - double yum! Erik was helping the boys decide what they wanted to buy me for Mother's Day. They both came up with a color. Jake wanted to buy me the color 'blue' and Ben wanted to buy me the color 'pink'. Erik said he wasn't quite sure what to do with that.....so he took them to buy flowers. As you can imagine, blue flowers aren't easy to find, so Jake settled on 'yeyow'.

Thanks to my boys for a wonderful day!!!!!

DD Engagement Party

We had Darin and Deborah's engagement party this weekend - no great piks of Darin AND Deborah (I don't think I got a single picture of Darin with his eyes open.......I can't be certain, but I think the 'adult beverages' had something to do with it.)

Atlantis

What an amazing vacation. We had a FAB.U.LOUS time!!!!! There was so much to do - I could have stayed another week (seriously). We golfed, had massages, went dancing (seriously), played in the ocean, pool and on the waterslides, played blackjack in the casino, jet skiied, had some amazing meals and most importantly.....we saw Howard K. Stern (of the Anna Nicole Smith saga) in the airport (ok, so that wasn't important at all, but I thought I would throw it in). We mostly have pictures from golfing because we kept forgeting to bring the camera with us other places.
