We had a fun 4th, did you? We went to the Highlands Ranch Town Center celebration (yep, we're suburbanites!) There were bouncy houses, pony rides, a ferris wheel and the all time favorite 'Vern's Train ride (that's Vern in the red train below). We had a little party in the cul de sac with the neighbors and lit off lots of fireworks. Nice way to spend a Wednesday.
Look at them on the ferris wheel. I thought there was no way they would be on that without crying. Nope, Mom was wrong again. As soon as it stopped they wanted to go again. The line was too long so we made up some excuse like 'only one ride a day' or something like that :)

Fireworks are illegal in AZ for fear that you will burn down the state...so we stayed home and swam and because the fourth was the hottest day of the year, 116, we stayed in and watched fireworks on TV which the girls said was "lame". But there was no traffic and it was cool!!
