The Weekend

It was a gorgeous weekend here. The boys were playing outside and it was so hot....I put a sprinkler on the hose and let the boys play in it. Jake thought it was just OK, but Ben couldn't get enough. He would sit and drink the water, then get up and run through it, then sit and take more drinks, then put it on his head....it was cute watching him have so much fun. We also went to the MacLean's for a BBQ where Jake and Abby got a lift in the wagon from CY. The last pik is Ben pooped out from a long day. Posted by Picasa

The Wiggles!!!!

We took the boys to a Wiggles concert this weekend. What a riot!

40 year old men singing silly songs.....amusing

1 man dressed as a goofy pirate....somewhat funny

1 dinosaur who loves roses, 1 smart alec dog , 1 octupus named Henry....cute

Driving all the way to Loveland and spending $150 to see the Wiggles...eeek

The looks of total joy and amazement on Jake and Ben's faces.......PRICELESS!

Picnic

We went to a BBQ at Addenbrook park with some of my family members while my mom was in town. We fed the geese (I know, I know, we're not suppose to feed the geese, but the boys wanted to, so......). I must mention what happened while we were feeding the geese....I was holding Jake and talking with Lydia while the kids were throwing bread into the water. One of the geese decided he needed to be closer to the bread and jumped onto the shore - right at me. I screamed like a little girl, jumped up and ran. What about Jake you ask? Well, it seems I left Jake with the goose. Erik saw this episode unfold, took Jake away, and has sinced deemed me an unfit mother (ok, not really, but I think he is still a bit unnerved with the event). I'm sure it will be a story he tells Jake when he is older "so, you know your mother just threw you in front of a goose to save herself......"

My cousin's daughter turned 1 and they had a little birthday celebration - the boys were thrilled with a chance to break a pinata.

Nana

Nana Wagner stayed with the boys for a week while we were in Puerto Rico. Thank you for taking such good care of our little boys. We know they were loved and cared for totally and completely, which allowed us to enjoy ourselves without worrying. We miss you Nana - see you soon! Posted by Picasa
