THE BOYS TODAY

Oh, this one..... today he said, "Mommy, if you don't let me put on my Power Ranger costume...I'M GOING TO RUN AWAY!"

BTW, does anyone know why my links are showing up on the bottom of the page - even when I go into edit them and they are showing on the side in edit mode?

A lame post.....but it's a post

First - I know I've been a bad blogger.

The boys and I made their Valentine's tonight.  These are from Jake and are acting as my table centerpiece until their class party on Friday.

Mom, you are in luck.  Ben and Jake called me into their playroom to tell me to take a picture of the 'tallest tower' they made out of legos - "put this on the 'pooter' and send it to Nana and Papa".

Super Bowl

When I was downloading the pictures I took of the boys I found that Erik had taken some piks while at the Super Bowl.

The guy in the second picture is Mark Kisla (sp) a reporter for the Denver Post - Erik reads his column daily.  He was sitting in the same section, so he and Erik talked sports for a bit. I think he had a fun time and his seats were GREAT! - I am so glad he was able to go.

Museum and Bowling

We took Nana and Papa to the Museum of Nature and Science - lots of people and lots to see (aren't I articulate?).

.

After playing the wii with the Regalados on Christmas, we wondered why were playing in front of the tv and not doing the real thing.  Uhm, by the way....Jake bowled a 129.

Bowling Cont.

They started out using the ramp, then decided they could do it like 'grownups'

Emily and Ben playing with, uhm.....I think they are my little ponies - they are pink so I know they can't be transformers or power rangers.

Christmas Morning

Jake was just sure Santa was going to bring him this train set - he must have been a good boy :)

We had another wonderful Christmas.  Nana and Papa came from Idaho and spent 5 days with us which you have to know was pure heaven for the boys.  We woke up on Christmas morning at 6:15 to two of the most excited and in awe boys who saw with pure joy, the loot that Santa had left.  Grandma and Grandma Isernhagen and Aunt Kira and Uncle Eric came for brunch and gifts.  After a bit of rest time and clean up, Uncle Pete, Aunt Lydia, Sarah, Emily and Rachel came over for dinner, gifts and wii.

I hope you and your family enjoyed as much family, warmth and fun as we did - Happy New Year!

Traditions

As I think of Christmas as a child, thumbprint, butter and candy cane cookies come to mind.  We would go on our annual holiday trip to Illinois and arrive to plates and a freezer full of my Grandma Betty's Christmas cookies.  My mom has continued the cookies and now the boys are helping me make them.

When Erik asked me why there was a 'green alien in my cookie' I thought he was attempting another sexual joke...then I took a closer look.
