20 Years?!?!?

We are back from my 20 year high school reunion.  I have to say the months of planning payed off - it was a success!  We had a GREAT turnout and it was so fun to see old friends (most I haven't seen in 20 years).  There were two days packed with events.....golf, mixer, picnic, dinner and these are the ONLY pictures I have.  Way too much coordinating and chit chatting on my part - I'm hoping everyone will share their photos.  WOW! 20 years??!?!

Happy 4th!!

Rain, rain, go away.  Our community puts on a BIG 4th of July Celebration - kids parade, jumpy houses, climbing wall, bands, bungee jumping and a big fireworks display.  The boys were able to ride in the parade before the big downpour.  Then came the rain.....we did some soggy jumpy house bouncing, hung out under the CJ's frozen custard tent and finally concluded the rain wasn't going to stop.  We headed home and came bag for the dry, cool fireworks display.  It all ended well:)

Brave Boy

whew! We made it....this day is over!  I should say Jake made it.  Our little guy had surgery on his eyes this morning - eyes!  I know they say it's 'routine' and it will be just fine, but when it comes to your child, what does 'routine' have to do with anything?

The surgery went well and we were so proud of Jake. He was so brave throughout the process. His mommy on the other hand....

Love you Jake.

Too cold to go out,
too wet to play ball,
so they sat in the house and did
nothing at all.
All they could do was just
sit, sit, sit, sit.
And they did not like it,
not one little bit.

Crush

The boys were SO excited to have our favorite neighbors from our old house over for dinner.  Uhm, I think Jake has his first crush.  See the cute little girl in the striped dress? That's Ella.

Jake: "mommy, I like Ella, and Ella likes me"
Jake:  "daddy, Ella is six"
Jake:  "mommy, will you take my picture with Ella?
Mommy:  sure Jake, go stand with her.
Jake wraps arms tightly around Ella's neck.
Mommy: "uhm Jake, why don't we take a picture with everyone in it.
Jake:  "ok Mommy, but can I stand by Ella?"

Playgroup

This is our Friday play group.  All of these kids are just great.  Friday was my day to host - I discovered something on Friday....I couldn't have 5 children.

Soccer - Goooooo Fireballs!

Yep, fireballs - that's really the name all of the boys agreed on - no really.

The Fireballs

Erik is coaching and doing a GREAT job.  The kids just love him - I don't know how deep he is digging to find the patience he has, but good for him.

Springin and singin

The boys had their Spring Program at school last week.  All of the classes were different animals - we were frogs~ that was an hour or so of pure cuteness.

Five green and speckled frogs, sat on a speckled log, eating some most delicious bugs - yum, yum.....   I'll be singing that song for the next month or so.

Springtime in the Rockies

It started snowing yesterday and I don't think it has really stopped. I'm looking out my office window right now and I can't see across the street....CRAAAAZY!  After Erik shoveled snow (for the 3rd time), and worked to save our trees, he and the boys came in after building a "snow fort".  It's hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwich time!

Popsicle Weather

Ben came running in from outside and announced "it's finally popsicle weather!"  I think the official high today was 75.
