4th!

We had another fun filled 4th of July. We started off the day at the Highlands Ranch 4th celebration - it was hot and kitchy, but the boys dig it.
Rode the ponies.....Ben was stoked when he sat on the horse....until they started to walk - THEY MOVE DADDY! Did he think he was going to sit on the horse, get his pik taken and hop off? Possibly.

Jake's all about the horse ride - doesn't need mommy or daddy to walk with hm....he can do it all my himself!

ZOO DAY - a picture post

The boys and I headed to the zoo on Friday. They are finally at the age where they are interested in the animals and are really fun to go to the zoo with.

The lines weren't super long so we rode the carousal and the train.

And watched this monkey FOREVER!

Ben took one of his snack bowls and put it on top of Erik's head - who immediately started speaking like a Chinaman. He was cracking the boys and I up!

So Ben put the hat on Jackson.

And then on themselves trying to imitate the Asian accent. Hoot. Hoot.

Although we had a fun weekend, I didn't take many piks (sorry Nana). Here are a couple from the pool.

Jake went with Daddy to help Darin move while Ben and I went to Emily and Sarah's soccer tournament. Here is Ben with Rachel - notice the blue lips from a sno-cone - Note: Rachel had the same color sno-cone....hmmmmm, where are her blue lips?

Belated Daddy Day Post

It's hard to say who was most excited about Erik's Father's Day cards and gifts. Erik was recently able to play a golf course called The Sanctuary. This course has always eluded him because it is so exclusive and can only be played during charity events. Well, since Children's Hospital has been such a major account for Linx, they donated for two foursomes to play in the Children's Classic at the Sanctuary. Erik took the camera and shot a bunch of pictures so that he could come home and share with me. The boys and I had four of the piks enlarged and framed for him to hang in his office - he loved it! - BTW......Erik was asked to play at this course again on Friday - how psyched is he!?!?!?

After gifts and a bike ride, we headed to the park where Darin hosted a birthday party for Deborah and his Mom Nancy. As soon as the cake came out, the boys were right in the middle. They had to make sure Darin lit the candles correctly - check Jake out in the middle watching them blow out their candles (he was holding his plate waiting for the cake to be cut).

Softball with Daddy

Erik played with Brian and Tina's softball team on Monday. They got excited to sit in the dugout with him. Check out how they put their hats.

Sunday Afternoon at the Regalados

When these 3 get together they play and play and play and play. I seriously get worn out just watching them. Check out Rachel's pose in the above pik.

They were role playing the entire day. At one point Rachel was the Mommy, Jake was theDaddy and Ben was the Baby - they put him in the doll high chair to feed him.

Uncle Petie took the BEST nap - I was jealous watching him.
