Yard Work

Erik started mowing the lawn tonight and the boys couldn't run fast enough to get their mowers out. They followed Erik around for a couple of swipes until Mom intervened (maybe a bit overprotective, but I just knew a rogue stick was going to fly up and hit them in the head).

Erik gave them their own area to mow, but they started rolling around in the grass and forgot what they were doing (I see a lot of that happening when they are teenagers).

You may be saying to yourself "what's up with that skull cap that Ben is wearing"......that hat is actually a little beanie that the boys wore when they were teeny tiny. Ben must have dug it out of one of the drawers in their room - he's been wearing it around for the last couple of days.

Grand Lake

Our friends, Troy and Amy were married this weekend in Grand Lake. It was such a beautiful setting and a wonderful wedding - Congratulations Troy and Amy!

The boys were so cute.....although, they couldn't grasp the concept that they shouldn't talk through the ceremony. Ben was telling me all about the boat in the water and Jake just swore he heard a train.....Jake - "train, DADDY, TRAIN!" Erik -"shhhhh Jake" Jake - "TRAAAAAAINNNNNNNN Daaaaaaaaaaaaady!"

Ben was in an exceptionally good mood all night long! He had his dancing shoes on! He was out on the dance floor whenever he had the chance.

Unfortunately, Jake was sick. He came down with an awful cold the night before. I felt so sorry for him - the poor little man was just miserable. He slept through most of the reception :(

The Woods

We stayed at Brian's parent's condo in Winter Park for the weekend. There were great woods to explore nearby

Kickball

Erik played in a kickball tournament on Saturday. Our friend Joel helped to organize this charity tournament with proceedes going to help disadvantaged kids.

"Team Juggernauts" (Erik's team) were the winners of the loser's bracket, which meant that we were there ALL day!
The turnout was great and it was for a good cause. The boys had a blast, but missed naps and were totally exhausted by the time we came home. BTW.....so was Erik :)

Todd and Rhonda had a team too!

KickBall Cont.

Ben had so much fun with the slip and slide. It didn't hurt that it was a Nemo slip and slide either. This kept him entertained (with a little help from Joel) throughout the day.

Hockey

We went to watch Daddy's hockey game tonight. The boys watched Erik play for a period or so, then decided to get their own game going. They wore themselves out and provided great entertainment for the crowd.

It's hard to tell, but these are all action shots (not so good with the camera settings for action yet). The boys were running so hard, they had to stop for water breaks - they had such a great game going. I'm not too sure who won, or how the scoring went, but I'm sure they are recapping the game right now while laying upstairs in their cribs......" Jake, you sure made an excellent slapshot in the 2 period" - "thanks Ben, your stick work was awesome tonight"......

The Zoo

We went to the Zoo today with Zoe, Abby, Stacy, Janelle and Juliana. It appears the train ride may have been the favorite, but the monkeys were pretty cool too! The kids were all so cute. They held hands and walked together (long enough for me to take the picture anyway).
